Not just a yoga studio; this is a community;
this is a rebellion.
You've spent too much of your life hating your body, feeling judged anytime you step into a movement class, and leaving those classes feeling worse because of the gross 'work off that food' narrative.
Movement shouldn't be a punishment.
You’re fed up with the bullshit, excluding norm, and you want to revolt: but how? How do you start? How do you even begin again when movement has been a punishment your whole life?
This club is the best place to start.
The Rebel Movement Club is an online yoga, workout & movement studio focused on fat liberation, queer inclusivity & trauma informed classes.

or even fitness level. Fat bodies are not less valuable, beautiful, or loveable. I don't know about you, but I don't have the energy to support gyms/studios that don't give a shit about creating inclusive spaces & dismantling oppression. I've been to enough that don't take the time to check their anti-fat bias, learn students pronouns, or learn what 'trauma informed' actually means.
The Rebel Movement Club is a membership based movement studio. Each week you'll find a variety of yoga, workout and mobility classes all based in fat liberation, and fat positivity. Each class has a little guided social time, by me, a queer, non-binary person with social anxiety. (so it's not scary social time, I promise, I do everything I can to make it feel comfortable. That's my main goal.) This social time is intentional; to create accountability, and community. Online classes get a bad rap, but in the club we end up laughing, and celebrating each others wins rather than just clicking a button and fucking around.
"it is truly a place where everybody can explore their own movement without shame"
"If you, like too many others, have ever felt weird about going to yoga/fitness class/the gym because of body negativity, please consider Move with Billie! Her equal passion for physical and mental fitness shows in every class, and it is truly a place where everybody can explore their own movement without shame or discomfort. I love the personal nature of her classes and I always feel like I can ask questions about what feels right for MY body!"

I began speaking openly about my experience in movement spaces last year: I’d felt left out, excluded, less than and shamed because of my size, or my trauma.
To my surprise, countless people related to my experience, so I decided to develop this club to serve the folx diet-culture & spiritual bypassing left behind. I worked on creating my dream a reality: a truly diet-culture free space for movement that builds confidence, community and connection.
Yoga. Workouts. Accountability. Community Support
I get it. It's so hard to know where to start movement again. To go through the whole process of trying out a new gym or studio because well..how do you know you can trust it? If you're here I'm willing to bet you have gone through the cycle before: you tried out a new place thinking 'hey maybe this time I'll keep up with my practice', 'maybe this time it's a safe space', then you're hit with the same shit. Then they start throwing around comments like 'do these abs to work off..." or "anger only hurts you". We won't go down that whole list but its long.
The whole idea behind this club is rebelling against the shitty norms that cause those phrases to be said. This isn't your average yoga studio or workout space.
How do you start? You take small steps.
The Club is virtual, so you can start by showing up to class, welcome to keep your camera and mic off and see how you feel. Maybe you sign up for the VIP membership which gives us a whole hour to talk through everything that is making you nervous in the first place. This club is how you start. Sign up, show up for class and it could change everything.
A non-diet movement space can mean the difference between feeling like the ‘before’ and feeling celebrated and free each time you step into class. An inclusive movement class starts a revolt away from diet-culture, and empowers you to feel confident, feel better in your body, and more connected to yourself & community.
feel uncomfy in your body: random aches & pains…is this what getting old feels like?
feel left out (or even traumatized) in regular gyms & yoga studios ‘I always feel like the before picture’
stressed out
have no time for movement
have no idea where to start
feel body shame (that gets worse when you try to move your body)
don’t feel safe to try moving again: it’s broken your heart before, can’t go back
think movement is a punishment
think (or were taught) the only value is weight-loss (nope, nope, nope)
confused and disheartened as f*ck…‘what is everyone doing’ ‘why even try?’
disconnected from body: hard time knowing what your body needs, what you want or how you feel
disconnected from community: don’t really even wanna go there
have more energy
feel better in your body (for longer)…less aches and pains! Horray!
feel more connected to community
feel more connected to your body: you know what you want, and what your body needs
empowered to make choices that align with your wants/needs
feel more confident & badass
feel safer in your body
think movement is fun! (and know it’s a great tool for mental health, stress relief etc)
more easily go outside comfort zone (that’s where growth happens, baby!)
feel ready to kickass
have a better relationship with your body
feel calmer
sleep better
feel the freeing sensation of kicking diet-culture to the curb
Another perk? Saving money & time.
No need to spend money on a yoga studio and a gym each month.
Instead of throwing your money away in an excluding, diet-culturey place that leaves you feeling blech that you have to commute to; you’re supporting a small, queer-owned business that actually gives a shit about you. (too far?)
It means no commute time (it’s online), no time waiting in the changeroom, no time staring at the dumbells wondering what the fuck you’re supposed to do with them.
For less money each week than you’d spend on dinner you get the attentiveness personal training, a kickass community, and the welcoming attitude of…well me.
After ditching diet-culture, moving your body in an inclusive space is the next step in your revolt. An added plus is that it will also reduce the morning aches and pains, increase your energy, connect you to your body & a community of like-minded badasses. It gives you the space to forgive yourself, and your body for all the years you worked out as punishment. Beyond that, you start learning to listen to your body, and act on what you need; inspiring you to make choices that better align with your needs and boundaries in your daily life too.
Here's what Catherine has to say about the club ⬇
"I already feel the difference. I feel stronger, and more flexible."
"Billie’s Anti-Diet Workout Club is so much more than I expected it to be - in the best way! ...Even in the short amount of time I’ve been doing the class, I already feel the difference. I feel stronger and more flexible. Billie also makes it very easy to watch recorded classes later on.."
